Well, as you may or may not know by now, the secret J.J. Abrams project known as “1-18-08” or “Cloverfield” has finally gotten a title: CLOVERFIELD! Okay, that was anti-climactic.
The significance of the name (other than the fact it’s the name of a street near Abrams’ Bad Robot production company) appears to be that it’s the code name of the “case,” a.k.a the monster(s). Not exactly Godzilla is it? With that revelation comes

I know that people have become disillusioned with this film, but I think we’ll have to wait and actually SEE it before we condemn it as a case of hype gone terribly wrong. I know that I’ll be first in line (or like, 30th) on January 18, when it’s released.
