Cloverfield monster revealed?

The creature intimidatingly known as “Cloverfield” has been revealed – sort of – by the folks over at /Film, who took the time to slow down the recent HD trailer and give us something of a glimpse at the big boy tearing NY a new a-hole. From what I can tell… hell I don’t know, this movie still hasn’t convinced me it’s not a GODZILLA remake. What is convincing me is that all the backlash this film received – and continues to receive – is looking more and more unwarranted. I can’t believe people aren’t psyched for a giant-monster-attacks-New York movie (would you prefer they make more of these, or more J-horror remakes?). Then again, I could be wrong, and this could turn out to be a cocktease of unholy proportions. If that happens, you can all say “I told you so.” Until then, I’m smiling just thinking about CLOVERFIELD.
