Fans of genre television who are attending San Diego Comic-Con, prepared to be happy: Two very cool panels have just been announced, both destined to attract legions of fans.

First up, the one that is admittedly the bigger deal: “The X-Files” will be celebrating the 20th Anniversary of its existence with a reunion panel, hosted by TV Guide.

Panel guests that are known thus far are Gillian Anderson, series creator Chris Carter, series writer (and current “Breaking Bad” showrunner) Vince Gilligan and others. David Duchovney has not been confirmed at this time, but really, what would be the point of doing this thing if he isn’t planning to attend?

In addition, A&E’s “Bates Motel” will also be a presence at Comic-Con this year; a panel featuring the show’s creators Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehren, as well as stars Vera Farmiga, Freddie Highmore, Nestor Carbonell, Olivia Cooke and Max Theriot, will take place on Friday, July 20th from 10am – 11am.

Season two of “Bates Motel” is currently in production and is slated to air early 2014, so it’s not a stretch to believe they’ll have some footage to show off, or a teaser trailer at the very least.
