Sometimes it is easy to see the bond that a group of actors can develop when you interview them for a particular project. This was especially true for MAZE RUNNER: THE SCORCH TRIALS, a sequel to the 2014 feature THE MAZE RUNNER from 20th Century Fox. And when we sat down with the cast at Comic Con this year, their enthusiasm for the project, as well as their obvious appreciation for each other. was very apparent. When we spoke to Dylan O’Brien, Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Ki Hong Lee, they were absolutely a blast to chat with. With Thomas holding the microphone, and the others joking around during our discussion, it was an unusually entertaining few minutes. And yes, sometimes they even talked about the movie.
Now when we spoke to the lovely Rosa Salazar and the acting legend Giancarlo Esposito, it was a tad more serious, yet there was still fun to be had. Mr. Esposito even discussed working on the immensly popular Breaking Bad. And frankly, after hearing some really exciting things about the film from this group and the new trailer, I’m fully on board to take on THE SCORCH TRIALS. The sequel will be hitting theatres this coming September 18th.
