Those Who Wish Me Dead: Exclusive Angelina Jolie & Medina Senghore interview

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Interviewing your favorite celebrities can sometimes be a wild experience. You are so used to seeing them on screen that you feel like you know them to some degree, and meeting them can be surreal. In the old, pre-COVID days a press junket would have been done in-person, now Zoom is the go-to, but I was still crazy psyched to speak to one of my all-time favorite movie stars, Angelina Jolie the other day as she promoted her comeback flick, Taylor Sheridan’s thriller Those Who Wish Me Dead.

Jolie was joined by her co-star Medina Senghore (a scene-stealer in a great part) as we talked about stunt work, her most cringe-worthy injury, working with Sheridan and more. Check it out! Jolie was super-friendly and down to earth, as was Senghore. The movie, which comes out in theaters and on HBO Max on Friday is a top shelf thriller, in which Jolie plays a smoke jumper who protects a young boy from two assassins, played by Nicholas Hoult and Aidan Gillen in the middle of a massive man-made forest fire. I had a blast with it and you can look for my full review later this week.
