There’s a lot to look forward to each year at Comic Con, from star-studded panels, amazing cosplayers, epic announcements, and Auntie Anne pretzels. Okay, that last part was bullshit, but you catch my drift; there’s a lot of cool stuff at Comic Con, but perhaps the coolest, or at least my personal favorite, is the barrage of toys that flood the convention floor. If you’re a toy nerd (statues/maquette’s also fit this category) then Comic Con is basically your nirvana (next to Toy Fair, of course). Everything from Con exclusives, early product peeks, rare finds, and expensive shit you can’t afford is on display and you start to feel like Gollum frothing over the One Ring with each new cool item you see; I needs it!
So, here’s a gallery of the best toy stuff I saw on the floor this year, which was a bitch to edit down as there’s just so much to see and marvel over. There’s stuff from Sideshow, Neca, Hot Toys, Mondo, Gentle Giant, Weta, and more, so take a gander and enjoy the goods (and get ready to hear your inner Gollum).
