Back in June I brought news of a French production titled BEHIND THE WALLS which had just cast supermodel Laetitia Casta in the lead role. We haven’t heard much from it since, but now that the flick’s official Facebook page has opened, we’ve got ourselves a glimpse behind those walls…

Here you see some concept art and an image of Casta (looking decidedly un-supermodel-like) from the ghostly thriller, which is the first French live-action feature shot in 3D. It’s currently in post-production and has an undetermined 2011 release date. We’ll let you know when something solid in the way of distribution news happens.

The synopsis: Centre of France, 1922. Suzanne , a young novelist lacking inspiration decides to isolate herself in the countryside to write her new book. As Suzanne discovers a sealed-up room in the basement of her house, she starts writing oddly easily. Visions and nightmares soon strike her while the villagers grow worried as several little girls mysteriously disappear…
