You know, you can’t always believe everything you read on the internet. Case in point, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura told Sci-Fi Wire today that they’d love to do a sequel to CONSTANTINE- although star Keanu Reeves told Sci-Fi that he wasn’t into returning to the role a while back.
Which is odd, because about a month ago ComingSoon! had quoted Reeves saying he’d return to the role ‘in a second’ (see that story HERE).
So what’s the confusion? Why the mixed messages? What’s going on? I know I’d love to see another CONSTANTINE, but I’m not a WB exec, so that doesn’t really matter, but the original film’s producer’s are way into it:
“We’d love to see a new Constantine. We had a good time making that movie. I’d love to do it again.”
So who really knows at this point. There’s definate interest, and the original made a considerable amount of moola at the box office, so I guess we have to play the waiting game until we here something official- not just bottomless bantering with reporters from actors and producers.
