Here's something a little different for you guys! NECA just recently unveiled their latest Jason Voorhees figure which was inspired by the 1989 classic 8-Bit FRIDAY THE 13TH video game for NES. I was only 1 when this shit came out so I never go the wonderful chance to play it but apparently it was one of those games that was so bad that it was good. In the game, Jason runs around with his machete in hand and his trusty purple and blue 8-bit animated threads and tries to murder you — sounds like a blast if you ask me!
NECA will be paying homage to this ridiculously awesome game with a 2013 San Diego Comic-Con exclusive release. It will be a fully articulated 7-inch figure with some pretty cool glow-in-the-dark features. This comic-Con exclusive will come in a special window box packaging with opening flap to re-create the look and feel of the classic 1989 Friday the 13th video game packaging.
