We're back at ya with another installment of AITH'S KILLER GUIDE TO HORROR and this time our pal Nick is taking on the terrifying CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON, one of Universal's Classic Monsters that is the last surviving creature of an amphibious humanoid species with a taste for blood. Call him what you will: Gill-Man, Man-Fish, The Creature…either way, as Nick points out, he's one scary beastie!

From Jack Arnold's 1954 classic that introduced the Gill Man, to the 1955 follow-up REVENGE OF THE CREATURE, and on to John Sherwood's 1956 THE CREATURE WALKS AMONG US, Nick takes a nostalgic look back at the popular series that has had an extensive and persistent impact on popular culture.

It's also a great primer for the uninitated to check out these classics, especially since it seems that a remake of CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON is in the cards, with Scarlett Johannson being courted to star.
