Cool Horror Videos: Paul Bailey has an impressive Freddy Krueger acting reel

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Just hours after we saw Robert Englund say he feels "a little long in the tooth" to play horror icon Freddy Krueger again, backtracking from previous comments he made about thinking he could do it one more time, a potential replacement has caught our attention.

A couple months ago, actor/writer/makeup hobbyist Paul Bailey uploaded a video to his YouTube channel in which he wears makeup reminiscent of Freddy's look in A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 2: FREDDY'S REVENGE and acts out several short moments as the character… And I found his performance to be very impressive. The look, the sound of his voice, the movements – this guy has Freddy down perfectly. If we can't have Robert Englund, Paul Bailey may be the next best thing.

Bailey's acting isn't the only impressive thing about this video, as he also sculpted, painted, and applied the makeup himself. Plus he did the music and sound for the video.

Give Bailey's "Freddy Krueger acting demo reel" a look above and see what you think.
