Cool Horror Videos: Predator / Little Richard music video

2017 marks the 30th anniversary of director John McTiernan's sci-fi action classic PREDATOR, and to mark the occasion Park Circus is bringing the film back to cinema screens in the UK and Europe. Screenings have already been held in the UK, Ireland, and the Netherlands this month, with more to come.

I won't be anywhere near any of these theatrical screenings, but I still wanted to celebrate the re-release and the anniversary by sharing a Cool Horror Video focused on the original PREDATOR.

YouTube user Monster Montage has several genre movie music videos on their account, and a while back they cut together a video for PREDATOR using a song that is memorably featured in the film: "Long Tall Sally" by Little Richard.

Rock out to the song while revisiting imagery from PREDATOR in the video below, and if you are lucky enough to live near a theatre that will be showing the film in the next month (you can see a list of screenings here), I think you should definitely go check it out. If for no other reason, do it for those of us who can't!

Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Carl Weathers, Elpidia Carrillo, Bill Duke, Jesse Ventura, Sonny Landham, Richard Chaves, R.G. Armstrong, Shane Black, and Kevin Peter Hall, PREDATOR has the following synopsis:

Major Dutch Schaefer is the leader of a military rescue unit looking for allies captured by guerrillas in the Latin American jungle. At first it seems like any other mission: Dutch and his team of seasoned combat veterans spot a guerilla camp, destroy it, and find the men they were sent to rescue executed. But when Dutch attempts to lead his unit out with a captured guerrilla in tow, something horrifying and inexplicable begins to happen: one by one the men are killed by a mysterious adversary – a Predator from another world.

Suddenly human enmities are forgotten, for Dutch and his dwindling band of survivors are no longer the hunters – instead they are prey to an enemy who blends into the jungle and strikes with inhuman ferocity, agility and power. Stalked by the unseen foe and stripped of his sophisticated weaponry, Schaefer must rely on more than physical strength and modern technology. With the jungle his only ally, he will draw on his inner resources of instinct and intelligence, as he faces his greatest challenge: to stay alive.

It's awesome.
