Fans of THE CHANGELING, the spooky Peter Medak-directed chiller from 1980, will appreciate this “music video” for Drop Goblin’s “Joseph Carmichael,” which used footage from the film.

Joseph Carmichael is a character in THE CHANGELING, played by Melvyn Douglas. The film also stars George C. Scott, Trish Van Devere and Jean Marsh. You should absolutely give the film a look if you haven’t already.

Here’s what the producer of the track had to say about it: “I knew that the drop would be heavy and act as a climactic entrance after the dialogue was spoken, so in order to compliment that structure I had to make sure that the spoken words, and the sound elements that surrounded them, would act as an uncomfortable and eerie tone that would take the listener into the same feeling of anxiety that I felt when watching the movie”.
