Cool Horror Video: Slick-looking The Crow fan film on the way!

So this is pretty cool! A new fan film for the cult classic THE CROW is on the way from a dedicated group of fans, simply called "CROW" (seemingly a reverse of the common tactic of add "The" to names to differentiate them, ala "THE BATMAN" or "THE PREDATOR").

You can watch the trailer for the project at the top of the article, and below is the official synopsis:

A dreamlike yet chillingly vivid original story; we follow Dean, an ordinary Detroit man who awakens in the trunk of a junkyard car after a costume party on Halloween that left his lover shot in an alleyway. In the trek to recover his memories, Dean finds himself on a collision course with the men responsible that is as inevitable as death itself. Directed & Edited by Matt Szakal, and Executive Produced by Justin Mane ("Detroit," "Eternal Code," "Road Runner").

According to star/producer Justin Mane:

We've been working on this film for close to a year now, but it's been a brain-child and dream project of mine since I was 12 (20 years ago). We started and finished production during the Summer during the COVID-19 Quarantine in the Metro Detroit, Michigan area, and are currently in post-production with an expected Fall 2020 release. We've brought on some of the best talent behind and in front of the camera to bring this story to life. The film is not a remake or a reboot, but instead, a love letter to the franchise that came before us and for the fans that have been wanting something new. We're exploring the mythology and taking it into a different direction that hasn't quite been explored yet in the films or in the comics. There will be plenty of Easter eggs and familiar "The Crow" devices, however, and we want everyone to have fun finding them in the film. Regardless, we've put a ton of production value into this film and are absolutely doing the best we can to make sure this film turns out top-level. We even brought a trained crow name Vorona into the film!

Meanwhile, CROW – directed by Matt Szakal, written by Melinda Doan Bryce and Matt Szakal from an original story by Justin Mane, and starring Justin Mane, Bobby Laenen, Callie Bussell, Dan Pesta, Dan Keary, Dan Schmidt, Tasmay, and Joshua Lutey – is expected to come out this fall!

So what do you guys think? Fans of THE CROW? If so, would you check out this fan film? Either way, sound off below!
