Cool Videos: 8-bit Super Mario style intro for HBO’s Game of Thrones

One of the coolest things about Game of Thrones in my opinion is the fantastic opening title sequence for HBO's hit series. The title music always gets stuck in my head, and I love how the camera swoops to the different locations that'll be used in the episode. In the grand scheme of things an awesome title sequence isn't too important, but it's just one of the many reasons why so many people are big fans of the fantasy drama.

YouTube user NickspolisonFX decided to have some fun with the intro for Game of Thrones, and used the map from Super Mario World to create a new, 8-bit version of the title sequence for the series. It's almost exactly like the opening credits for Game of Thrones (including a chiptune version of the title music), and there's also a side-by-side comparison of the two intros below you can check out as well. Very fun stuff.
