In what just may take the cake of the strangest news surround the mega-phenomenon known as STEPHEN KING'S IT, it looks like Russian Burger Kings want to ban the film IT in their country. And the reason is truely WTF…
Turns out Burger King Russia has filed a complaint with their Federal Anti-Monopoly Service claiming that Pennywise looks too much like Ronald McDonald and would thus prove to be advertising for their fast food competitors, McDonald's.

Yeah, you can't make this shite up, people. All I know is that Russia or not, Burger King is no doubt going to be feeling the backlash from this all over this here internets. You can count on that.
It opened in Russia on Sept. 7 – the day before we got the flick here is the States – and has grossed $14 million thus far. That said, as of today, IT is still playing in over 100 movie theaters in Russia.
