One of my favorite scenes from THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG was the barrel chase. Everything was building up to that point then suddenly this great action scene sort of breaks the tension. I loved watching it, and wondered how they might put something like that together. I had an idea but had no clue that they would have to cut down and edit 98 minutes of footage.
A scene like this is one of the many reasons why I love the LOTR and HOBBIT films. The action is superb. Not only that, but it makes me wish I had a small role so I could take part in creating something like this. Eh, maybe one day…
