With THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY going on walkabout this week, the fine folks at Screen Junkies have taken it upon themselves to deliver yet another wondrous and brutal Honest Trailer, this time for THE LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy, tackling most of the gripes fans have had from the get-go.  I love THE LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy, but even I can have a good laugh at some of its goofiness.

I think the main takeaway from any of these “honest trailers” is just to laugh and not take it too seriously.  It’s all in good fun.  Even if some of the “honesty” portrayed can sting a big.

Enjoy:

THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY opens this week in 2D, 3D, IMAX, and 48 fps.  Choose wisely.
