It takes a lot for a fan film to be cool. In order for it to be memorable (in terms of the internet that is) it has to take something that everyone loves (STAR WARS, INDIANA JONES, HARRY POTTER) and give those fans a new way of looking at it. This new STAR WARS fan film does that it several ways. First, it humanizes Stormtroopers in a way we haven’t seen before, treating them like actual soldiers in a war. Next, we get a glimpse of the Battle of Jakku, which in WARS lore is said to have taken place after the Battle of Endor, wherein the Rebellion defeated the Empire. Hence, we see the remnants of ships and AT-AT’s in the sands of Jakku, Rey's (Daisy Ridley) home in THE FORCE AWAKENS. Altogether, we get a unique fan film that makes you realize that Stormtroopers have feelings too…as well as terrible aim.
