Cool Videos: The MST3k bots riff on Netflix shows and read YouTube comments

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

Yesterday, there was a video of the robots from MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000, Tom Servo and Crow T. Robot (Baron Vaughn and Hampton Yount, respectively), trying to pitch their shows to Netflix's Chief Content Officer. Now, we can see them doing what they do best: riff on other movies, or in this case, other Netflix shows:

They then read comments on the internet, instead of the fan mail they used read on the show:

And here's them getting ready to get to work in the make-up chair:

I've said before that I'm really loving this season. Jonah Ray (as Jonah Heston) is the right kind of affable and goofy, and the two robot voices have certainly come into their own. That's not to mention the wonderful Mads (Felicia Day and Patton Oswalt), the delightful new Gypsy (Rebecca Hanson), and the bonkers fuckin' movies they've selected (like REPTILICUS and LAND THAT TIME FORGOT). It's all more than I could've hoped for, as a lifelong fan.

Meanwhile, you can stream the new season of MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000 on Netflix right now!
