For some reason, I haven’t given much thought to the Antarctic chiller known as WHITEOUT. Even the inclusion of the gorgeous Kate Beckinsale wasn’t enough to pique my interest. Now, after witnessing the latest trailer (below), I feel like such a fool. This things looks like it absolutely freakin’ rocks! I implore you to click on the link below to bear witness to a literal avalanche of action and an interestingly introduced new kind of slasher! Not to mention an opening shot of Ms. Beckinsale in the shower! You just can’t go wrong! I totally dig the unique plot too! Check it out:

U.S. Marshal Carrie Stetko tracks the VERY FIRST killer ever in Antarctica, as the sun is about to set for six months.

Now, before you start shouting out 30 DAYS OF NIGHT, know that WHITEOUT has nothing to do with vampires or Alaska. I do hope it gets an R rating, though. It was directed by Dominic Sena from a script by Jon and Erich Hoeber. The rest of the cast includes Alex O’Loughlin, Gabriel Macht, Columbus Short, Tom Skerritt , and Shawn Doyle. The release date is set for September 11, 2009.
