Cover art surfaces for Manson My Name Is Evil, hitting DVD this October

What more could possibly be said about the Manson family that hasn’t already been said in the countless movies about their lives, not to mention the books, the Dateline specials, and various internet reports? Apparently enough to warrant a whole other movie, I guess, in the same vein as BTK, THE GREEN RIVER KILLER, and DAHLMER comes…. MANSON MY NAME IS EVIL!

This interests about as much as a hammer to the nutsack, but when I saw the quote they pulled for the cover art (below), I couldn’t help but give it some props. Can’t tell whether the review as a whole was positive or not, but here’s the quote: Senseless Violence, Gratuitous Sex, and Over-the-Top Killing!

Hey–you gotta respect the truth in advertising in that one! Plus, I’d like to think that McGill Daily actually hated the movie and ripped it apart in their review of it. For some reason, using their hated words to help promote the film’s DVD release brings a smile my face.

Here’s what MANSON is all about: Charles Manson’s lust for blood left not only a trail of victims across Los Angeles, but also his minion’s lives shattered. Leslie (Hager), a former cheerleader and prom queen, is one such follower of the serial killer. During her murder trial, one of the jury members, Perry (Smith), a sheltered chemical engineer, finds himself falling in love with the dangerous woman charged.

Yippie. Enjoy the new cover art below, PRE-ORDER YOUR COPY TODAY, and get ready for MANSON MY NAME IS EVIL on DVD shelves everywhere October 12, 2010.
