Lionsgate is having a terrible time with PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES. I’m really surprised they haven’t scrapped this.
There was a rumor awhile back that Craig Gillespie (FRIGHT NIGHT) was off the film as the director. The studio assured everyone that he was still attached and we believed them.
I guess he got tired of their bad luck. The split was amicable but Deadline said it had to do with things like who to cast in the film. They’ve pretty much asked every actress in Hollywood to take the lead so who was left? Did Gillespie want someone that would not be bankable enough for the studio? Or was he just frustrated with the fact that nobody was signing on?
Does anyone care if this get made at this point? I love me some zombies but I’m tired of hearing about this project.
