Ghosted Adam Scott Craig Robinson

When we last covered Fox's TV show Ghosted, which is described as being a "comedic X-Files", it was very early days for the project. The network had just ordered a pilot, with Craig Robinson and Adam Scott signed to star.

Created by Tom Gormican, Ghosted centers on

a cynical, hilarious skeptic, Leroy Wright (Robinson), and a genius “true believer” in the paranormal, Max Allison (Scott), who are hired by the Underground Investigative Service to look into the rampant “unexplained” activity in Los Angeles — all while uncovering a larger mystery that could threaten the existence of the human race.

Since our previous report, things have gone very well for Ghosted. Fox liked the pilot and ordered the project to series, and now they have announced when we can expect to see the show on the air.

Ghosted will be making its premiere on October 1st at 8:30pm EST. This time slot will put it right in the midst of Fox's Sunday night comedy block; Ghosted will be sharing the night with Bob's Burgers, The Simpsons, Family Guy, and The Last Man on Earth.

Scott says the show is "an action comedy mixed with a little bit of horror, a little bit of sci-fi. … It's really fun and genuinely scary. We wanted it to be genuinely scary."

Robinson adds, "I imagine a dorm room full of college kids cracking up at this."

October is the perfect time for a "genuinely scary" comedy show to start airing, and it sounds like Ghosted is going to be a good way to spend some time on Sunday nights this Halloween season.
