Crank 2 talk

JoBloJoBlo

Even though it seemed like he burned through all possible repositories of adrenalin in CRANK, Jason Statham’s hitman is coming back for a second round in a sequel to that flick.

How will this loopy mayhem unfold? Collider chatted with prodco Lakeshore’s honcho Tom Rosenberg, who gave a hint of what Chev Chelios will be in for in CRANK 2: “It’s actually similar and more extreme, so what propels Jason is even more extreme than the drug that he took.” (Rumor has it, he’s got some kind of mechanical heart this time around. I’d call that a spoiler, but how the hell else could you imagine he’d return?)

Filmmakers Brian Taylor and Mark Neveldine are finishing up work on their cyber-action flick GAME with Gerard Butler and then immediately causing more grievous bodily damage to Statham and half of Los Angeles. Will that be te extent of what this dude can endure? Don’t bet on it, because according to Rosenberg there might be even more: “We’ll see… it leaves off where that’s possible. If the public embraces it—I think it’s going to be bigger than the first one.
