Craven on 4 & More

Daniel Robert Epstein of Suicide Girls scored a pretty lengthy interview with one of the greatest horror filmmakers EVER today. The man behind the classic NOES and the recent RED EYE, Wes Craven chatted about all kinds of stuff, including some insight into the upcoming SCREAM 4.

It’s known that Craven wants nothing to do with the SCREAM franchise anymore, so no big shocker to hear he won’t be apart of that project. But what was a surprise had to do with Neve Campbell’s interest in the film:

I had lunch with Neve Campbell a month and a half ago and she
said
she had been approached about a fourth Scream. Right now I think she
would
do it.

I could have sworn a while back Neve talked about the possibility of her doing another SCREAM movie would only happen if Sidney Prescott was in a mental institution. Maybe she is. Maybe that’s the new twist on this tired and played out story: Sidney Prescott, in a mental institution, snaps and goes on a killing spree, imitating other played out franchises, like LEPRECHAUN and HELLRAISER. Yeah, that sounds like a barrell of fun for sure! Count me in!

Craven also talks about a possible sequel to RED EYE, his upcoming HBO project, and what he really thought of FEAST. To get your Craven ‘know’ on, head on over to Suicide Girls, and climb into the mind of a master. Unless, of course, he does another CURSED, then we might have to revoke his title….
