Creepy, brief Insidious TV spot tiptoes through the tulips…

Using a normally cheery song in an unnerving way is nothing new in the horror genre (Jeepers Creepers, anyone?), but INSIDIOUS puts “Tiptoe Through the Tulips” to really good use. Though it was created back in the 20s, its most famous version is the one by Tiny Tim, and that’s the rendition that’ll be giving you the heebie-jeebies during the movie.

A new TV spot for the James Wan flick has just hit the air, and we’ve got it for you below. It’s short but sweet… and gives you a preview of the innocent little tune that chills throughout the movie. It’s actually the best ad for INSIDIOUS that I’ve seen so far.

When proud parents take possession of an old house, an accident results in one of their sons falling into a coma. The tragedy doesn’t stop there when they are beset by vengeful spirits from another realm in this new chiller by the director and writer of Saw and by the producers of Paranormal Activity.

I’ve got a review coming soon; you can read the Arrow’s right HERE.
