The trailer for the new horror flick THE SHADOW WITHIN popped online today, and if you’re a fan of creepy kids, weird black fluid seeping into eyeballs, and shadows that can chase after you, then this may be the flick for you.
While it looks like it ripped off a few scenes from THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT, the flick looks decent enough. But at this point, you’re probably wondering what the flock it’s about. Check it:
Maurice Dumont is a nine year-old who can connect with the dead. Propelled by grief over the death of Maurice’s twin brother Jacques at birth, his mother Marie falls under the influence of Madame Armand, who convinces Marie to force her son to act as a medium to the next world. As Jacques asserts himself through Maurice, he comes to the realization that they both desire the same thing: their parents’ love, only Jacques does not want to return to the living: he wants his parents to join him in the afterlife.
The flick stars Hayley Williams, Beth Winslet (Kate’s sister!), Laurence Belcher, and Bonny Ambrose, from director Silvana Zancolo. Apparently the film has taken a few years to come out, but now the date is set in stone… for May 25, 2010.
