It has been awhile since we’ve had an update on Alfonso Cuarón’s latest film GRAVITY, but that changes today as the release date has been announced. The film (which is currently shooting) will hit our screens November 21, 2012.

The lone survivor of a space mission to repair the Hubble telescope desperately tries to return to Earth and reunite with her daughter.

It is interesting to note, that late November falls into awards season. Could this be a sign that Warner Bros have hopes that this could be an awards contender? We still have awhile to wait, but I certainly hope so!

Along with directing the film, Cuarón also wrote the screenplay with his son Jonás Cuarón and Rodrigo García. George Clooney and Sandra Bullock will star, no other cast members have been officially confirmed.
