Daisy Chain trailer

We got a heads up about an upcoming little Irish horror flick called THE DAISY CHAIN today, and if you were into this summer’s ORPHAN, you might want to give this little number a try.

Starring Samantha Morton, Steven Mackintosh, and Mhairi Anderson, and directed by Aisling Walsh, THE DAISY CHAIN goes a little something like this: Martha, an emotionally fragile mother, who moves to a remote Irish village with her husband Tomas following the tragic death of their baby daughter. Whilst there, the couple decide to take in a disturbed and orphaned autistic girl called Daisy. Uncommunicative and greatly scarred by the violent death of her parents, Daisy gradually warms to her new surroundings. But, as a series of strange occurrences begin to be linked to the little girl, Martha and Tomas begin to hear rumors from the locals that Daisy might be something far more malevolent than she seems.

Ok, so it sounds just like ORPHAN, but if you check out the trailer below, you’ll see that while there are similarities, it doesn’t actually look like an ORPHAN rip-off exactly. I’m digging the creepy little kids movies, so something like THE DAISY CHAIN is right up my alley. It looks promising to say the least.

No word on the film’s release date, but you know we’ll keep you posted. In the meantime, check out the trailer below and have a blast!
