After her successful turn in STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS, Daisy Ridley has been very much in demand. The young actress is currently filming Rian Johnson's STAR WARS: EPISODE VIII, but that hasn't stopped Ridley from attaching herself to a few new projects. Last week it was announced that Daisy Ridley would star in KOLMA, a fantasy thriller to be directed by Marielle Heller (THE DIARY OF A TEENAGE GIRL) and produced by J.J. Abrams, and now Variety says that Ridley has added another new project to her upcoming slate.
The outlet reports that Ridley is set to star in THE LOST WIFE based on the book by Alyson Richman. The film takes place in "pre-war Prague, where Lenka, a talented art student, and Josef, her best friend’s older brother, fall madly in love — only to have their dreams shattered by the imminent Nazi invasion." At the moment THE LOST WIFE is without a director or a studio, but the project is considered to be "top priority" as producers are currently meeting with potential directors. It seems like we'll be seeing much more of Daisy Ridley in the coming years as she has STAR WARS: EPISODE VIII, KOLMA, THE LOST WIFE, and perhaps even the lead role in the TOMB RAIDER reboot on her schedule. More Daisy Ridley? I'm very okay with that.
