Dang it! Bruce Campbell’s part in Oz: The Great And Powerful gets the snip

Say it ain’t so, Bruce!

Oh but it is. Remember in August when we told you about the inevitable cameo Bruce Campbell was set to make in his pal Sam Raimi’s OZ: THE GREAT AND POWERFUL? Yeah well, looks like that cameo will grace none other than the cutting room floor. Damn, what are friends for!

Word comes from Campbell himself, who took to Twitter to voice his displeasure in the omission:

And there you have it, dissed by his own pal. Nah, I’m sure his role wasn’t integral to the story, so the cut is probably for the better. I bet that cameo was only there to sate all us hardened Raimi/Campbell fans…a touch the studio probably didn’t care for too much. Still, here’s hoping we get to see Sam and Bruce match wits again sometime in the near future.

OZ: THE GREAT AND POWERFUL – which triples down with Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams (below) and Rachel Weisz – opens in March of 2013.
