Danielle Harris: Adam Green is planning two more Hatchet sequels

Earlier this month, Danielle Harris was in attendance at the Monster-Mania convention in Hunt Valley, Maryland. She was signing memorabilia, posing for photo ops in the HALLOWEEN 4 clown costume, and took part in a "Halloween Reunion" Q&A panel with Sandy Johnson (Judith Myers) and Michael Myers performers Nick Castle and James Jude Courtney. Harris dropped some very interesting news during that Q&A – not about HALLOWEEN, but about another franchise she has starred in several installments of. HATCHET

HATCHET heroine Marybeth Dunstan was played by Amara Zaragoza (a.k.a. Tamara Feldman) in the first film, but Harris took over the role for HATCHET II, HATCHET III, and a quick cameo in the fourth film, VICTOR CROWLEY. We have heard that HATCHET creator Adam Green plans to make a HATCHET 5 someday, as the filmmaker has previously said,

Originally I had only planned for HATCHET to be a trilogy, but when I decided to bring “Victor Crowley” back for more I planned out another complete roadmap for where it could all go. With the success of VICTOR CROWLEY (HATCHET 4) it looks like I’ll once again be able to make the sequels I have planned."

Note that Green said "sequels" in that quote, because according to Harris he is currently planning to make HATCHET 5 and HATCHET 6 back-to-back. She told fans at Monster-Mania,

There's supposed to be two more. I know the rumor Adam told me is they're going to shoot them at the same time. I have not read a script or done anything, I just know that he always makes me do really stupid shit. And a lot of it. So hopefully I'm not going to be handcuffed an entire movie this time, or covered in… It's completely insane, what he has me do. But I know there's supposed to be two more, which is great."

The HATCHET franchise centers on swamp-dwelling slasher Victor Crowley (played by Kane Hodder), and soon after the release of VICTOR CROWLEY Green said

If there is a HATCHET 5, Victor Crowley will be leaving the swamp."

But we've never heard what might happen in a HATCHET 6. Hopefully these sequels actually will be made back-to-back and we'll be hearing more about both of them very soon.
