The deadly, inhibition-shattering drug at the center of URGE has found another person to ingest it. Danny Masterson (“The 70s Show”) has joined Pierce Brosnan and Ashley Greene in the thriller, which is being directed by Aaron Kaufman. Production begins this week; it’s worth noting Masterson is also a producer on the project.

The story revolves around Theresa (Greene) and her group of friends who escape on an island destination weekend and find themselves unable to resist trying a new designer drug. The drug appears to be perfect. However, the group discovers its one major side effect: It makes people lose the ability to control their urges.

Masterson will play Neal, the cutthroat but secretly lonely hedge fund tycoon who treats his friends to the island getaway. Brosnan plays the designer of the drug that makes everyone lose control.

Skip Williamson (Underworld) and Mark Neveldine (Crank) who are producing through their Blackmrkt Incorporated banner.
