Director Dante Tomaselli sat down with Horreur.net to chat about his upcoming dip into horror, SATAN’S PLAYGROUND.

It’s a great interview, in wich Tomaselli discusses everything from writing horror, to what’s coming up next for him, as well as his thoughts on the renewal of the genre. Check it out:

I can’t really comment on trends. I’m stuck in the past…horror movies from 1987 and under. I really don’t watch modern horror movies that much. I’m glad there is supposed to renaissance happening. I hope that I’m a part of it.

Can’t blame the guy for loving the classics. I love the horror flicks from the 70d and 80s, and feel that flicks from that era were really f*ckin’ scary! The whole feel of them gave this dark, grittiness that’s finally coming back in movies like THE DEVIL’S REJECTS and SATAN’S PLAYGROUND. It’s about goddamn time!
