A year ago, we shared the news that Hannah Fierman, best known for playing the role of Lily in the anthology horror film V/H/S and its spin-off Siren, would be making her feature directorial debut with the horror film The Events Surrounding a Peeping Tom. The project has since been re-titled Dark Circles, and while a specific release date hasn’t been announced yet, a trailer has dropped online to give us an idea of what Fierman has in store for us with her first movie. You can watch the trailer in the embed above.

Scripted by Brian James Fitzpatrick, Dark Circles tells the story of

Martin Malone, a lonely voyeur who is caught and arrested following a misstep. As he nears the end of his court-mandated rehabilitation, Martin suspects that someone or something far more sinister is watching him.

The cast includes Damian Maffei (The Strangers: Prey at Night), Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp), Kate Kiddo (Terror Trips), Kamarra Cole (Time’s Up), and Terry Kiser (Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood).

Dark Circles was produced by Ryan James, with Daniel John Kearney serving as executive producer. A crowdfunding campaign for the film is currently being run on Indiegogo, and contributions will help Fierman and her crew get the film through post-production. Perks include credits on the film, posters, tickets to the premiere, DVD and Blu-ray copies of Dark Circles, and more. So far almost $6000 has been raised of the $15,000 goal, and the campaign will be active for another three weeks.

I’m really looking forward to seeing a Fierman-directed horror movie, and she put together a great cast for this one. Are you excited for Dark Circles, and will you be contributing to the fundraising campaign? Let us know by leaving a comment below.
