Well, folks, it appears we have another “team of military-esque soldiers is assigned to check out a far away destination that was a testing ground for some kind of experiment that went terribly wrong” flick. Of course something unexpectedly deadly (and monstrous) waits for them. However, there’s no denying that DARK ISLAND has its fair share of fun sights in the sweet trailer that my man, Eric, last showed you. I’m definitely reminded of J.J. Abrams’ LOST while watching it (there’s even some sort of smoke-like monster).
The plot (which I basically already summed up) goes like this: Five members of a pseudo-militaristic scientific expedition were sent to a remote island for weapons testing, until the weapon got out of hand.
I assure you the trailer is way more descriptive (and exciting). Simon Boyes, who wrote the flick’s story, recently told Bloody-D that ISLAND’s directors, Niko Pueringer and Sam Gorski, already shot most of the flick up in good ol’ Canada, but were currently casting for a few more scenes to be lensed in L.A. It stars Jai Koutrae, Zero Kazama, Mary Christina Brown (below), Victoria Floro, Rob O’Brien, Eric Raymond Lim, and Rodney Wiseman. Maybe we’ll be talking release date some time soon?
