Dawson for OCT

Variety dropped some very cool news indeed this morning regarding hottie Rosario Dawson, and the comic book she co-wrote/ co-created called OCT: OCCULT CRIMES TASKFORCE. Dimension Films has just acquired the movie rights for the comic, with Dawson starring as the lead!

It would only make sense for Dawson to star, as the comic itself was created with her as the main character, in animated form. But I know what you’re thinking: what the heck is OCT about? Check it:

[Dawson] will play a Gotham police detective who, after stumbling upon a gruesome and bizarre crime scene, is enlisted for a covert squad that uses black arts and mystical weaponry to hunt down and kill soul-sucking ghouls.

I can already tell that seeing Dawson track down and kick some soul-sucking ghouls tail will be one fun ride. And if she’s not in black leather or spandex… well, let’s just say she better be. Pretty cool that she is one of the masterminds behind the comic (along with David Atchison and Tony Shasteen), and will be there every step of the way, as not only is she starring in the flick, but she’s producing it as well.

Stick around for more info. on OCT as it surfaces, and enjoy the pics below!
