Just about a year ago, we told you about POINT BREAK scribe Peter Iliff writing a sequel to his surfing-based actioner that was slowly making its way towards production. They’ve recently acquired a director in the form of Jan De Bont and the requisite stupid subtitle: POINT BREAK: INDO. The plot is being kept under wraps, though that hasn’t stopped the folks at the IESB from discovering it, but don’t expect Keanu Reeves to reprise his role as Special Agent Johnny Utah seeing as how the last sequels he did didn’t get the best reception and probably don’t expect Patrick Swayze to come back as criminal surfer Bodhi seeing as how he’s a little debilitated right now. Do expect, however, a brand new crop of young man candy to completely destroy the cheesy greatness of the original. Also expect smoking hot ass to compensate for the complete sullying of the cheesy greatness of the original. A production start date is yet to be decided but it’ll take place in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
