I don’t know what kind of sick joke it was to decide clowns were for children- every adult I know are scarred out of their minds of clowns. Maybe it started with Tim Curry in Stephen King’s IT that did it, or those freakish aliens from KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTTER SPACE. Whatever the reason is, clowns are the scariest charactors since zombies.
That being said, it makes perfect sense to combine the two, as Steve Sessions (HELLBOUND: BOOK OF THE DEAD) does in DEAD CLOWNS, starring Debbie Rochon and Brinke Stevens (below). The premise goes: 50 years ago, their clown car disappeared into the murky depths of the bay. Tonight, they’re back for one last show….
Simple enough concept here, with plenty of fodder for thrills, chills and buckets of blood. You can check out the new trailer HERE, in all it’s uncut glory. It looks pretty kick ass, and like I said before: clowns+zombies=good times all around!
The film’s soundtrack features Rock City Morgue (w/ White Zombie bassist Sean Yseult), and it’s already out in the U.K.. Now we’re just waiting for the pleasure here in the states.
