Whoa! I came across a mention of the new Irish Zombie flick DEAD MEAT and thought, now this I gotta see. Apparently it managed to chop up audiences at Screamfest LA like Jason chasing teens through the woods. The trailer is available through Cinemavault Productions. Just remember I said this, “Head down the stairs.”

While I browsed through the upcoming offerings, another that caught my eye was SPIRIT TRAP. It looks a bit Hellraiser-ish, but to me that’s nothing but a good thing, baby! Pinhead’s my hero (I ignore the ignoble ass-kicking he took in Part II). Plus the trailer is mostly scare free, yet still manages to establish an eerie, supernatural tone. Consider me intrigued.

Unfortunately there’s no trailer for this last one, but I have to mention GRUESOME, because the poster alone is enough to make this genre fan salivate like a face hugger in a room full of folks with lockjaw.
