I can’t even begin to tell you how badly I’m anticipating the chilled Nazi Zombie extravaganza known as DEAD SNOW. The buzz on this bad boy so far has been anything but cold! And the posters for it absolutely f*cking rock (yes, the title up top is in Norwegian)!
Now for the good news: IFC Films has just announced that DEAD SNOW has dug up a limited theatrical release on June 12th, 2009. Plus, you’ll even have a choice of watching it on TV or in the theater because it will open day-and-date with VOD. This is one cool choice for some hot summertime horror viewing!
The plot bleeds like this: A group of teenagers had all they needed for a successful ski vacation; cabin, skis, snowmobile, toboggan, copious amounts of beer and a fertile mix of the sexes. Certainly, none of them anticipated not returning home alive! However, the Nazi-zombie battalion haunting the mountains had other plans.
How can you not be on board with this?! The flick was directed by Tommy Wirkola who co-wrote the script with Stig Frode Henriksen. It stars Norwegian stars Ane Dahl Torp, Jenny Skavlan, Bjørn Sundquist, Charlotte Frogner, Stig Frode Henriksen, Jeffpe Lauresen, and Evy Kasseth Røsten.
