James Wan has posted the first picture from his now-in-post-production flick DEATH SENTENCE on his Myspace page. That’s Leigh Whannell standing next to James, looking like the drummer from Blink 182 (a far cry from his whiny character in SAW). The film, from the writer of DEATH WISH, is about a family ravaged by a gang of vicious hoodlums, and the father (Kevin Bacon) who takes vengeance by wiping them all out. Kinda like in DEATH WISH…

Wan has assembled a pretty good cast for this one, including John Goodman, Garrett Hedlund, Aisha Tyler, and Kelly Preston.
