IESB found out that Guillermo del Toro, the director of such fine films as HELLBOY and BLADE II is in talks to direct the larger than life, out of this world, bigger than big movie adaptation of the popular video game HALO! Yeah!
Peter Jackson, you know, that one guy who brought us a little film called BAD TASTE a few years ago- anyway, he was originally rumored to be the director, but it looks like that’s all it was- a rumor. Of course, del Toro at HALO’s helm is also a rumor at this point, but apparently the official word is on it’s way.
Considering what this dude can do, I think he’s a kick ass choice for director- I mean, HELLBOY is such a badass, and BLADE II was actually good, so what’s not to like here? Oh wait- I know- the fact that if he does do this, it’ll either postpone HELLBOY II, or worse- they’ll find a new director to bring that big red guy to the big screen once again.
Tough choice- what to do, what to do… I guess I’ll just sit tight and wait to hear the ‘official’ word on the street is!
