Serving up a shout-out to horror-site journeyman Rodrigo Gudiño, publisher and founding editor of RUE MORGUE, who’s highly-touted 22 min. short THE DEMONOLOGY OF DESIRE has been made an official selection at the 2007 CFC Worldwide Short Film Festival, which is held in Toronto from June 12-17.
From the press release: THE DEMONOLOGY OF DESIRE tells the story of Ramona, a unique girl with a strange idea of what love is. One night before going to bed, Ramona makes a powerful wish, a wish that is seemingly answered the next day by Eric, a young boy who has no idea the dark, fantastical depths that love can go.
“I wanted to be free to make a nasty horror film that was also thematically and symbolically rich,” said Gudiño, “and I hope I have achieved that with this darkly eccentric film.”
The guy’s talking my language! Congrats to Rodrigo on his accomplishment, and hopefully we’ll be reporting more on him in the near future!
