A couple of month ago we got word that wicky-wicky Will Smith was starring in Richard Metheson’s I AM LEGEND, from director Francis Lawrence (CONSTANTINE). And while we thought was big news, it’s nothing compared to what BlackFilm found out today.
According to the site, Johnny Depp has also landed a role in LEGEND, though what it is exactly is still uncertain. As the story is about a lone man (Smith) alone on the planet battling mutants of the night, I’m guessing Depp is… a mutant of the night! If that’s the case, that’d be awesome! Can’t you just see it?
To me, this news is far cooler than knowing Smith is in it- Depp is the man, and he knows how to take a character by the balls and make it his own. That’s some rockin’ good shite right there.
