Here’s a nifty little bit of info from the folks at TMZ, who report that everybody’s fave pirate, Johnny Depp, has apparently signed on to voice the main character in the animated film HOW THE DEAD LOVE, which is based on four short stories by writer Charles Bukowski. The film, which will be directed by Gabor Csupo, will not be a family affair (Csupo’s other work includes being animator/producer on ‘The Simpsons’, ‘Rugrats’ and ‘The Wild Thornberrys’), and will remain true to the stories (an ‘R-rated balls-to-the-wall adventure’ as JoBlo scribe Omar described it).
Depp’s production company, Infinitum Nihil will produce the animated flick, which will be more akin to the infamous FRITZ THE CAT that was out way before I was around. To read more on the story, head on over to TMZ here.
