Derrickson Lost

One of my favorite horror flicks of last year was THE EXORCISM OF EMILY ROSE, and as it won Best Horror Film of the Year at the Saturn Awards, I know I’m not the only one who feels this way. Fangoria had a chance to talk with director Scott Derrickson, whose next flick is the adaptation of PARADISE LOST.

Based on John Milton’s poem series describing the battle between Satan and God, and Satan’s influence on Adam & Eve- LOST is looking to be one epic tale that has never been told, and Derrickson is working harder than ever to get it done soon.

“There’s still work to be done on the script… More than anything else, I’m very excited about trying to create a world that is epic in regards to angels and demons and heaven and hell, and do it in some way that’s original and hasn’t been done.”

Attempting to make it original and having a look that’s never been done before is not an easy task when we’re talking about heaven and hell, but if all goes as planned, I’m sure we’ll be blown away. And if he ends up making it look like the battle fought in CONSTANTINE, then that’d cool too- I really dug the look of that flick.
