Desperate Delay

Oh man. After pumping myself up from what author Stephen King had to say about his latest novel-to-screen adaptation (see article HERE), it looks like we won’t be able to feast on DESPERATION until November… or possibly May 2006!

Why, why, why, why, why??? Director Mick Garris shed some light on ABC’s decision to push the release date back to the boys over at Fangoria. Here’s what he had to say:

“We don’t deliver until June, and ABC has used up their promotional budget for the season, so it ain’t going to be pushed for May. It’s possibly going to be November. Or the following February…or May 2006.”

Those bastards! Everything we’ve hear so far about this flick is that it frickin’ kicks ass. But not for another 9 months to a year? How can they do this to us? You’re killin’ us ABC, you’re killin’ us!

I get it, they have to promote it so everyone tunes in… but why not stop pushing that dumb cop-drama BLIND JUSTICE, and save their money to promote DESPERATION? Well, whenever they decide to release it, I’ll be there. Just wish it was sooner than later…
