Dexter: “Around Town” teaser released for ninth season of serial killer show

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Michael C. Hall is back as the sympathetic serial killer Dexter in a revival of the once-popular Showtime crime drama series (before they really shit the bed there at the very end). Hopefully the upcoming ninth season can wash the stink of the original finale, but until then here's a trailer at the top of the article to whet your appetites!

And here's the synopsis for the original series – but judging by how the series initially ended – I imagine the synopsis might end up being quite a bit different this time around:

Dexter Morgan, a blood spatter analyst for the Miami Metro Police Department, is secretly a serial killer, arising from a traumatic incident connected to the death of his mother when he was three years old. … He only keeps a blood sample of the victim on a glass slide, stored in a box hidden in his apartment.

Meanwhile, no set release date as of yet other than late 2021, but we'll keep you updated!

But what do you guys think? Fans of the original series? If so, looking forward to the revival? Either way, sound off below!
